Note from Cliff

TC has finally received his mission call. TC Rogers will be serving his mission in the Paradise state of the Spirit World. He will be proselyting with those individuals that have never received the knowledge of Jesus Christ while on Earth. He will be serving with other family members who have preceded him. He will be busy serving and organizing for an undisclosed amount of time. We will be planning his farewell in a few days. We hope you all can attend.

We adored our valiant son, and want all of our friends to know that there is continued progression of ones spirit, in a very joyful surrounding. One can make decisions regarding eternal progression, and TC will be involved in spreading and building the Kingdom of God.

TC was with his family until the very last moments. His passing was painless and TC had parents at his side. The nurses and doctors of UMC Trauma Intensive Care Unit are the most compassionate individuals we have come in contact with. We want to tell them thank you.

We will provide additional information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your love and concern

Cliff

From the Book of Mormon, Alma, Chapter 40

11 Now, concerning the state of the soul between death and the resurrection-Behold, it has been made known unto me by an angel, that the spirits of all men, as soon as they are departed from this mortal body, yea, the spirits of all men, whether they be good or evil, are taken home to that God who gave them life.
12 And then shall it come to pass, that the spirits of those who are righteous are received into a state of happiness, which is called paradise, a state of rest, a state of peace, where they shall rest from all their troubles and from all care, and sorrow.

I didn’t know TC personally, I work with Kelsey in the salon so I’ve seen him in there a few times. This is a dificult time for your family and everyone that TC has come in contact with. I know it doesn’t make it any easier, but we are so blessed to know that we will see TC and be with him again some day. My heart goes out to your family. I’m so sorry for your loss.

    Cliff, Becky and family,

Our hearts are saddened with this great loss. Watching TC grow over the years from an infant into the man he became was a wonderful experience for our family. He touched our lives in so many ways. Thank you for sharing him with us. We loved him like our own.

The news comes like a punch in the gut. I am so, so sorry. And at the same time I am so grateful for your outlook. Keep us posted on the “mission farewell.”

  7. Nicole (King) Sorensen Says:

You gave the greatest gift, your son. As is so obvious, he touched so many. My mom and I were commenting how it seems that God is taking some extremely hard workers who have the incredible gift to touch others. Her cousin passed away and reminds me of T.C. in that they both were people could work harder, longer and better than most men; had an unusual gift to make others around them feel comfortable and loved; and did more things for others than even those close to them knew about-true disciples of Christ. Something big must be happening on the other side, and they really could not have picked a more valiant and hard working person than T.C. Thank you for your family’s example of selfless giving. Many people will be thanking you from the other side for the gift of your son. His caring touch goes on.

  8. Gary & Debbie Miller & Family Says:

    Cliff & Becky and family,
Our hearts are saddened by the tremendous loss of such a loving and faithful son. Our family was very somber upon hearing of his passing last night. Soon after though, we were commenting on how loving Heavenly Father is and through his love gives us comfort when one of his valiant children go home to him. We also talked about the work TC will have the opportunity to do and the privilege those will have to being taught by him. We also know that our loved ones are in a state of happiness beyond any happiness we have experienced here in our earthly state. Our family’s prayers are with you for comfort and strength at this time and want you to know that we love you and your family dearly and will be here for you with anything you may need.
    Love,
Gary, Debbie, Lindsay, Adam, Randi & Kate

Hello. I don’t know TC or your family at all, but was sent to this blog by a friend of TC’s. Your family is a wonderful, perfect example of love, charity, service, faith, and testimony! It is amazing that you would share an Ensign in such a trying moment.

May you feel our Heavenly Father’s arms wrapped around you at this difficult time. Thank you for your testimonies.

    Hugs!

  17. Tracy & Tammie Stratton Says:

Upon reading the news last night our family was deeply saddned. Your family is, as it has been, in our thoughts and prayres. I have heard that time here on earth moves much slower than in the next life, with that in mind, I hope we will all make temple attendance a much higher priority. We did not know TC, but from reading all the wonderful things his friends and family had to say, it would appear he will be very successful in the mission his Heavenly Father has called him to. Let’s not let those he teaches wait too long for the blessings promised.
With love, Tracy, Tammie, Mallorie, Mitchell & Macie Stratton

  18. Leon and Katherine Noorda Says:

Dear Rogers, Just a short note to let you know that we miss you so much and Leon and I cried when we read the news. It is so difficult being so far away when tragedy and sorrow comes and you want to be with loved ones but can’t. Our love and prayers are with you and we know that a mission is one of the greatest callings with great blessings and great challenges.
God be with you…Elder Leon and Sister Katherine Noorda

  19. Cynthia Borromeo Says:

Thank you for sharing TC with us. You did an amazing job by bringing up such a special being. I believe that we all take something from people we encounter, and he truly had so much to give. My heart goes out to your family. He has been missed at Red Rock, and will be missed at GVR. Again thank you for TC.

  20. Makeli Scholer Says:

My wife and I are praying for your family still. No doubt about it, he’s serving his mission with a smile. I’m sure he can’t wait to tell us all about it.

  21. Stacy James Says:

I just want you to know that TC made a difference in this world. His friends loved him deeply and cherished his humor and goofy ways of going through life. He brought joy to so many lives. May peace be with you, Stacy

  22. Cherie (MacDonald) Mull Says:

I am a friend of TC’s from high school. I haven’t seen TC for years, but I have such good memories of him. Even now, I can’t help but smile when I think of him and his cheerful, uplifting energy. When I heard the news of his passing, my heart sank. I cannot begin to imagine the sorrow that your family is feeling. However, after reading these blog entries, I am amazed and inspired by your family and your testimonies. You have so much strength and are such examples to me. I got chills as I read about TC’s mission call, as you put it. I know that he will continue to uplift and inspire in his new calling. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

  23. Tara Steele Says:

My husband Cameron and I are so incredibly sorry for your loss. TC was a great person and will be missed by many. Your family is in our prayers.

  24. Aunt Lora and Ashley Says:

Ashley came home from school today and had noticed something quite interesting. Her new CTR necklace has the same initials as Taylor Clfford Rogers initials in it. The necklace is a locket, and inside she wrote the initials T.C. with a black marker which she wants to replace with a picture of her cousin. I thought it was cool that “choose the right” has the same initials as T.C. Rogers. I think this is very fitting considering the kind of person T.C. is. I can’t think of anyone Who could stand for “choose the right” better than T.C.
    Love Lora and Ashley

  25. Shelli Lewis Says:

I worked with T.C. at Redrock Spa. He was always sooo great to see. That big smile and purple or green wild tie. He will be missed very much. You have to be so proud of the man he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to your whole family…

  26. Colette Tullis Says:

    Cliff, Becky & Family,
TC was a truly amazing young man with more experience in his young life than most of us gather in our life times. He will certainly be missed but his spirit will continue amoung us as a constant reminder of how his bright personality affected everyone. My prayers are with your family as you go through this difficult but wonderous time of sending a loved one back home to fullfill his promise to our Heavenly Father.

    Colette Tullis

  27. Beverly Gordon Says:

My love and prayers are with your family.

  28. Julie Brown (Peterson) Says:

I knew TC in high school. Thinking of him always brought smiles to my face. He had a light about him. I’m sorry for your loss.

    Julie Brown (Peterson)

  29. Heather Bell Says:

It was good to see all of you today. I know you have always been a strong family and will continue to grow together during this time. Let me know if we can help with anything at all!

  30. Meredith Delay Says:

I only had the opportunity to meet TC a few times when he accompanied my cousin Natalee to some of our family functions and when I would run into the two of them at the Wranglers hockey games. I have a vivid memory of seeing TC and Natalee on the big screen at one of the games doing the Cotton Eyed Joe during a timeout with huge grins – he just looked like he was having a blast being silly – I admired him for being able to enjoy such a moment and having a wonderful sense of humor.

My thoughts and prayers are with your family,

    Meredith Delay

  31. Juliana and Peter Pisani Says:

We just learned tonight of TC journey. May it bring the Roger’s family solace in knowing your beautiful son has gone to Paradise with the angels. It seems like yesterday he was just a young, fresh life guard at The Resort at Summerlin. We could always count on him when he opened the pool. From there he soared in his career. I last had the chance to visit him at our American Cancer Society Relay For Life at Summerlin where he came with his young adult friends…he not only then talked the talk but also walked the walk to help in our fund-raiser for fighting cancer. He is a special soul. Our love and prayers are with you and your family. Peter and I will always appreciate the unselfish love you displayed to our family and wanted you to know TC lived his life the same. God’s strength and peace to you all.
